1994 Gulf Copper 15M Work Boat. The vessel is classified in repairable condition. This 50-foot steel-hull work boat was modified for dive operations and has been out of service since December 2025 , showing heavy corrosion throughout. Specifications Make: Gulf Copper Model: 15M Work Boat Hull Id Number: 15MWB9401 Length: 50 Beam: 14 Draft: 10 Type of Engine: Twin Cummins Diesel 6BTA5.9-220 Key Features Steel hull construction designed for dive operations. Pilothouse with bench seating configuration. Galley equipped with sink, table and bench seats. Head compartment with shower facilities. Covered aft deck area. Tool chest storage. Generator system installed. Twin inboard diesel engine propulsion system. Condition & Markings This lot is in repairable condition. Parts may be missing, and repairs may be required. Vessel has been out of service since December 2025. Heavy corrosion present throughout the boat. Engines, propulsion, and generator were reported operational when laid up. Hull, mechanical and electrical systems should be tested and repaired prior to vessel operation. Electrical systems were not energized and mechanical systems were not rotated during inspection. Any law enforcement or military equipment will be removed by the government prior to sale. Vessel Documentation Major Components Missing: No PCB presence: No Asbestos presence: No Coast Guard inspection status: No Marine Survey availability: No Successful bidders will be provided with a Purchasers Receipt/Bill of Sale and a request for certification of build form to be sent to Naval Surface Warfare Center. A quasi-title will be required from the original purchaser in the event the boat is resold. Inspection and Removal Inspection and Removal: Available Monday through Friday, by confirmed appointment only. The site is closed on federal holidays. Contact the property custodian (listed below) to schedule an appointment. Property Inspection: Bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the property prior to placing a bid to evaluate its condition and suitability. By bidding without an inspection, bidders assume the risk of potential omissions in the description. Removal Responsibilities: The successful bidder is solely responsible for all aspects of removal, including packing, crating, banding, loading, and shipping. The agency will not provide assistance. Authorized Third-Party Removal: The authorized third-party agent must present a Letter of Authorization from the high bidder (see terms and conditions for details), a copy of the purchaser's receipt, and a valid photo ID at the time of removal. This boat must be removed by waterway. Vessel being towed is also an option. Inspection time Tuesday through Thursday 0900-1300. The successful bidder is responsible for the proper disposal of oily water that may have accumulated in the boat. It is the responsibility of the successful bidder to ensure that any hoisting and rigging gear purchased with a boat is certified and serviceable prior to using it to hoist the boat.
