About This Coin: The Barber Half Dollar was designed by U.S. Mint Chief Engraver Charles E. Barber and struck from 1892 through 1915. The obverse features a portrait of Liberty and the reverse a heraldic eagle. These coins are 90% silver and represent one of the classic late 19th century American coin designs.
