This lot contains collection of used pipes from the 1980's. The lot consists of approximately 500 pieces of 3-1/2" outside diameter pipes, each approximately 12 feet in length. These pipes were previously used as fence posts and have been removed from service. The pipes are classified in repairable condition and show significant weathering and deterioration from outdoor use. Key Features Pipes measure 3-1/2" outside diameter by approximately 12 feet in length. Previously used as fence posts in outdoor applications. Majority of pipes are mostly straight with some bent pieces in varying degrees. All pipes are sold together as a lot and will not be separated for individual sale. Condition & Markings This lot is in repairable condition. Parts may be missing, and repairs may be required. All pipes show rust throughout, with some pipes rusted through completely. Some pipes contain soil inside from previous ground installation. Some pieces have concrete attached at one end from fence post installation. Some pipes have fencing material still attached. Various degrees of bending present in some pieces, though majority remain mostly straight. Pipes show weathering and deterioration consistent with outdoor fence post use. Inspection and Removal Inspection and Removal: Available Monday through Friday, by confirmed appointment only. The site is closed on federal holidays. Contact the property custodian (listed below) to schedule an appointment. Property Inspection: Bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the property prior to placing a bid to evaluate its condition and suitability. By bidding without an inspection, bidders assume the risk of potential omissions in the description. Removal Responsibilities: The successful bidder is solely responsible for all aspects of removal, including packing, crating, banding, loading, and shipping. The agency will not provide assistance. Authorized Third-Party Removal: The authorized third-party agent must present a Letter of Authorization from the high bidder (see terms and conditions for details), a copy of the purchaser's receipt, and a valid photo ID at the time of removal. Location: Pipe is located on the Kenai National Wildlife at the following site: Follow Swanson River Road north from Sterling Highway, 16.7 miles Take Swan Lake Road east for 12 miles to a locked blue gate. All pipe is 0.8 miles beyond the blue gate. Site Access: Site may be accessed by vehicle and with equipment by coordinating with Clifton Peterson Facilities Specialist, KNWR at by phone: (907) 252-9351 or by email: clifton_peterson@fws.gov.
