Full Description

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please read the entire description β€” most questions about condition and shipping are answered below. This listing is for one (1) roll of fifty (50) 1940-D Lincoln Wheat Pennies struck at the Denver Mint. This roll was purchased as part of a large estate auction. The 1940-D is the lowest mintage of the three 1940 wheat penny varieties making it a slightly scarcer and more desirable date among collectors. What you are bidding on: One (1) roll containing 50 Lincoln Wheat Pennies β€” 1940-D Denver Mint Lowest mintage of the three 1940 wheat penny varieties at 81.3 million coins Pre-war issue β€” struck the year before the United States entered World War II Circulated condition typical of coins of this era Purchased directly from a large estate auction These coins are 86 years old Important Disclaimer β€” Please Read: This roll was purchased as part of an estate auction. Condition and grade of individual coins have NOT been independently assessed by the seller. No grade has been assigned by the seller. Professional grading has not been performed. Bidders are encouraged to carefully review all photos and make their own condition assessment before bidding. All sales are final. About These Coins: The 1940-D Lincoln Wheat Penny was struck at the Denver Mint during one of the most pivotal years in American history β€” the year before Pearl Harbor and America's entry into World War II. RPM varieties show up more often on 1940-D cents than on almost any other Lincoln cent year from this era making this a roll worth examining carefully for varieties. At 86 years old these are genuine pre-war American coins with strong collector appeal. Important Disclaimers β€” Please Read Before Bidding: Specific grades and conditions of individual coins are NOT guaranteed No grade has been assigned by the seller β€” condition unknown All sales strictly AS IS, WHERE IS with no warranties expressed or implied. All sales final Photos are representative of type and condition β€” please review carefully before bidding By placing a bid you acknowledge and accept all terms listed Shipping & Handling: Lower 45 states: $8.00 β€” USPS First Class bubble mailer with tracking California, Oregon, Washington: $10.00 Hawaii or Alaska: Contact us BEFORE bidding for a shipping quote Ships Monday, Wednesday, and Friday only We are not responsible for delays once USPS confirms shipment Payment due within 3 business days of auction close Payment & Loadout: Once payment is received, a loadout form will be sent to you.
